The village hall will once more host a traditional Burns’ Night Supper on Sat 25th Jan 2014, the event will start at 7:30 pm and the £12 entry fee will include a 3 course meal, a wee dram and live entertainment including Scottish dancing.
Now it should be said that in previous years the dancing has been something of a challenge, involving as it does complicated manoeuvres in close proximity to the above mentioned wee dram. In an attempt to increase the fun and bring us all to ‘Strictly’ standards the organisers have decided to provide instruction under the supervision of our own ‘Professional’. Training sessions are open to all (even those not attending the event) and will be held in the Village Hall on Mondays 6, 13 and 20th Jan 2014 at 7:30pm. So, if you wish to impress your fellow revellers with the skirl of your sporran or neatness of your par-de-bars do come along and partake of a fun evening in the company of like-minded consenting adults, all of whom will make you welcome and will be equally flumoxed by the demands of this fine Hibernian art form.
