“What a great evening, of card games and board games from years gone by.”
“It was very good and fun. I would like to come again”
“A very enjoyable event, with a good mixture of games and conversation. “
On Saturday 21 February nearly 40 people of all ages joined in the fun, learning new games and remembering old ones. The evening was masterminded by Jim Haden on behalf of Flintham Museum as part of their WW1 project ‘Keeping the Home Fires Burning?’ 100 years ago a similar evening was organised to raise money to send treats to the Flintham men fighting at the front.
Many thanks to Jim for all his hard work, and for creating so much laughter in the village hall.
We have had several requests to run something similar in the future, so keep an eye open in the coming months to find out more.
