Wednesday 26 March between 6am and 9am, tune in to Radio Nottingham to hear a piece about the museum’s new window displays. This is all part of the preparations for the radio station’s Big Day Out on Sunday 6 April. Andy Whittaker, broadcaster, visited the museum today (Tuesday 25 March) to have a look around. He recorded a chatty piece about the museum which should capture people’s imaginations and encourage them to visit.
The main shop window display this year is all about gardens and gardening. Using unsold shop stock and advertising material, our window dressers have created a festival of colour with some quirky bits and pieces which will make you smile and remember gardens from your past.
The Big Day Out is on Sunday 6 April, starting at 11am until 4pm when the museum closes. Entry is free. From 11am until 3pm, teas and home made cakes will be available for sale at Flintham village hall.
