Plans are progressing well for the SeptemberFest on Saturday 15 September, 2-5pm and 7-10pm in and around the Flintham marquee which will be sited at the sports field, Inholms Road.

There will be lots to do and see in the afternoon, including a photography competition. This year’s theme is ‘Nature in Flintham 2018’ and you can interpret that any way you would like. Black & white and colour photographs of any size are acceptable. This year’s judge, Simon Marshall, is looking forward to lots of photographs showing different aspects of nature in Flintham, so start snapping.

Fancy entering the Flintham Bake Off? There are two categories. Children are invited to submit six signature cupcakes and adults are invited to submit their signature cake (any size). Entrants will judge each others’ cakes and award marks out of ten. If you would like an excuse to taste a lot of cakes you’ll have to enter the competition!

New afternoon attractions include a bouncy castle and Paula and Jasmine’s Pop-Up Ice Cream Parlour. The theme for the evening is the 1970s when we will be entertained by the Flintham Community Choir, Flintham’s own very special DJ, and hopefully listen to some musical surprises from other residents.
